Vorzugsweise ist bei einer Einrichtung zur Anwendung der Programmlogik eine eigene technische Einheit als Vorschaltgerät für die CPU angeordnet. Dies kann erläutert werden mit einer eventuellen Schwierigkeit, die Programmlogik in die CPU selbst, in der sich etwa die abzufragende Datenbank befindet, zu integrieren.
