Drive device for dishwashers.
The subject of the present invention is a drive device for dishwashing machines, in which a basket which can be raised and lowered in the washing water container and which receives the dishes is set in a reciprocating rotary motion and, according to the invention, in a headstock disc for the rotary motion of the basket, which carries on its circumference a rack perpendicular to its plane, by means of which the basket is lifted by the drive gear as soon as the rack has reached its area of action during the rotation of the headstock pulley.
The drawing illustrates the invention.
1 is a frame on which a profile iron 2 is attached, the vertical leg of which is designed as a track and on which the right-angled or otherwise shaped tubs 3 are arranged. On the walls of this tub there are known stowage strips a and on the bottom a spur pin 5. 4 is the basket, which is intended to hold the dishes and which is equipped on the bottom with a track bearing 5 a, while a lid 6 is on the upper side which can be separated from the basket 4. At this cover 6 a vertical axis 7 is connected, which is guided in a bearing S and carries a horizontal disk 11 which is occupied with the pin 10 and is thus designed as a headstock disk.
The sleeve 8 is connected by the arm 30 to a ring 27 which in turn is connected to a chassis 20 by struts or ribs 28. Wheels 21 rotatable about pins 22 on this frame allow the frame 20 with the basket hanging thereon to run back and forth over the containers 3. Part in frame 20, partly in a bridge 15 of this frame is a horizontal spindle 16 on which a handwheel is mounted 17 is wedged, while at the inner end of this spindle there is a drive wheel 14 that can engage both with the pin 10 of the disk 11 and with a rack that forms a piece with the disk 11 and with its unwound end 13 with the axis 7 is in connection.
The rack has a rib 12, against the outer surface of which a roller 2.5 rotatable about the pin 26 rests.
If the basket is lowered, FIG. 1, the gear 14 engages in the rack and pinion disk 11 and this, together with the basket, can be rotated by the hand wheel 17, but only perform a reciprocating or pendulum movement. A rotation going beyond this movement causes the wheel 14 to engage in the teeth of the rack, which, together with the basket 4, is lifted upwards.
A pawl 19, which is articulated on the strut 29 of the ring 27 and engages in a ratchet wheel 18 of the axle 16, secures the raised position of the basket, in which, after removing the cover 6, it has any suitable connection with the basket 4 can own, is filled or emptied.
The frame 20 is fixed above each container by a hook handle 23 which engages in a corresponding recess 24 in the rails 2.
The operation of the device, which is simple in itself, is convenient and easy and can be effected by one person.
