Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

    Schmiervorrichtung für Verbrennungskraftmaschinen, insbesondere Fahrzeugmaschinen.

Lubricating device for internal combustion engines, in particular vehicle engines.

The invention relates to a device for self-lubricating the inner surfaces dt? burn room and for the simultaneous supply of auxiliary air to the gas mixture. It is already known to the combustion chamber the lubricant with the combustible cargo
 EMI1.1
Uses air sent to the main gas pipe.

In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows the device seen from the outside and FIG. 2 shows a vertical section through the valve.

In the drawing, 1 is the engine cylinder, 2 is the crankcase and 5 is the main gas pipe. A pipe 3 leads from the crankcase to a valve 4 which is open to the main gas pipe 5. An exchangeable nozzle 7 and a ball valve 6 are located in the valve.

The arrangement now works as follows: When the machine is working, the oil-saturated air present in the crankcase is thrown against the walls of the housing by centrifugal force and part of it passes through the pipe 3, the nozzle 7 and the ball valve 6 into the main gas pipe, where it mixes with the gases, so that the oil is deposited as a layer on the inner surfaces of the combustion chamber, while the air serves as auxiliary air for the gas mixture which is usually too rich in gasoline.

Atomizers for the oil can be inserted into the valve as desired.

Since the different types of machines require different amounts of air, the valve 4 must be easily adjustable; this is done by using different nozzles 7 with a larger or smaller channel diameter and by using larger or larger
 EMI1.2
single machine the necessary amount of Ö! and set auxiliary air.
