Acid (dechlorinating) begins. In a large wooden barrel, equal amounts of sulfuric acid (60 Be) and hydrochloric acid (18 "Be) are dissolved in cold water and this solution is poured over the yarn for about two hours. It gradually drains off through the open tap of the bleaching kettle.

It is now rinsed again for about an hour with cold water and this is finally followed by deacidification. Carbonate of soda is brought into a basin in a 2 to 5% solution, then the lye is fed to the bleaching kettle by means of a pump, initially lukewarm and gradually getting hotter for about two hours.

The yarn is then rinsed in cold water for a further two hours. This ends the bleaching process.

The material to be bleached is then removed in layers, and all of the operations described are then repeated one or, if necessary, several times. Sch! ipü! I the drying takes place in drying chambers with the help of air suction and pressure devices or better with the help of the wind dryer with the help of sunlight, which increases the bleaching effect.

PATENT CLAIM: A method for bleaching paper yarn or fabrics and the like. From this, characterized in that the bleached material is boiled in a container by means of steam in a hydrosulfite solution led in the circuit for about seven hours, rinsed, then chlorinated for about six hours, then with Acidified with cold water of dilute sulfuric and hydrochloric acid by pouring it over it and thus dechlorinated and then, after a thorough rinse, it is deacidified with the help of first lukewarm and then increasingly hotter soda solution, whereupon the whole process is repeated after rinsing again and finally drying takes place.
