 EMI1.1

Fig. i zeigt z.

I. Einfache Schaltung ohne gemeinsame Leitungen. Jede der vier Gruppen bekommt 10 Leitungen, daher zusammen 40 Leitungen. Von jeder Gruppe sind 10 Leitungen erreichbar.

Circuit arrangement for automatic telephone systems.

In the case of automatic telephone systems, taking into account the construction of the voters, there is generally a very extensive division of the connecting lines into relatively small groups. The maximum number of connecting lines that can be used within
 EMI1.1
However, experience shows that this: maximum is not used continuously even during the heaviest operating hours. but only temporarily and not in all groups at the same time. It can be seen from this that a large part of the planned facilities is being used very poorly.

In order to remedy this problem, one has to create a balance between the individual groups. that there are connecting lines that are currently not needed in a group, that group. in which the maximum is needed, makes accessible. This is done in such a way that each group is only assigned as many of its own connection lines as corresponds to the average demand during the busiest operating time, while additional connection lines common to several groups are to be provided for calls beyond this, which are only then provided by one group may be used until all connecting lines belonging to this group are busy.

Fig. I shows e.g. B. three similar groups of voters, each of whom is a number
 EMI1.2
if all these lines are occupied, further connecting lines or dialers of the second type come into play, which are not only accessible to this group but also to the other two groups.

The purpose of the present invention is now to substantially increase the number of connection lines which can be reached by a group of voters without thereby increasing the total number of connection lines used.

This is done in that, as FIG. 2 shows, each group 1, 2,. 3 is divided into several parts 4 B, C with regard to the accessibility of the common connecting lines and that the common connecting lines are only assigned to one part of the various groups.

A computational example immediately shows the advantage of this circuit; there are z. B. Assume four groups, for which, with the total number of connecting lines of about forty, the number of connecting lines that can be reached by a group, depending on the circuit used, results as follows:
I. Simple circuit with no common lines. Each of the four groups receives 10 lines, so a total of 40 lines. 10 lines can be reached from each group.

   2. Circuit according to FIG. I. Each group has 9 separate lines; for all four groups in common there are still 4 lines, therefore together: (4 x 9) 4-4 4 = 40 lines.

  9 + 4 = 13 lines can be reached from each group.

   3. Circuit according to Fig. 2. Each group has 7 separate lines. The division is done in four parts and the individual parts of the four groups are each given 3 lines, so
