  Working methods for internal combustion engines.
The subject of the invention is a working method for internal combustion engines, which consists in that after the exhaust, the scavenging and the compression
 EMI1.1
 piston takes place before ignition. This results in a good and intimate mixture or evaporation of the fuel.

   At the beginning of the second compression stroke, additional charge air is introduced into the working cylinder, which increases the filling and thus the degree of compression.

   In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows a machine for carrying out the method in an exemplary arrangement in longitudinal section; Figures 2 and 3 diagrammatically illustrate the operating procedure.

   A slide sleeve h is inserted into the working cylinder 1, which is driven by the eccentric d
 EMI1.2
 is controlled. The slide sleeve & carries the inlet opening e and the exhaust port. The working cylinder? 'Has the inlet 111 connected to the crankcase by a channel k and the. Exhaust duct j. The width of the inlet m is dimensioned such that the inlet channel e of the slide sleeve h remains open continuously, that is to say also in the uppermost position el, and is only temporarily closed by the piston b.

   The gear ratio s, s' is selected in such a way that the slide sleeve h moves to the top dead center, while the piston b approaches the bottom dead center position at twice the speed. The piston opens the inlet channel e and allows fresh air to enter the cylinder b. The slide sleeve A covers both the first and

 EMI1.4
 i. Explosion; 2. Start of exhaust up to end; 3. rinse;

6. expansion;
7. Additional fresh air charge;
8. Second compression; 9. Ignition.

   At the top dead center position of piston b, ignition takes place, pistons and
Sleeve li then open the exhaust duct f so that the burnt gases can escape. At the same time, the air previously sucked into the crankcase at -1 was compressed and flushes the working cylinder r after the inlet channel e has been exposed. During the first operation of the piston, after the exhaust f has been terminated, the fuel is injected through the nozzle a, then the scavenging air is compressed and preheated and the fuel is partially gasified.

   The second decrease in piston b causes an expansion and thus good mixing of the fuel that has not yet evaporated, whereupon, after the introduction of additional fresh air, compression takes place up to the level causing the ignition.

   PATENT CLAIMS: I. Working method for internal combustion engines, characterized in that after the exhaust, the flushing and the compression of the charge in the working cylinder, an expansion and another compression stroke of the working piston takes place before ignition to ensure good mixing or evaporation of the fuel to reach.
