PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : i.

Pistons for internal combustion engines.
The invention relates to pistons for internal combustion engines, in which the rotation of the piston rings in their grooves is prevented by bolts which engage in the kerf of the rings and are arranged parallel to the piston axis, and consists in using a special locking bolt for each piston ring. The locking bolts sit in recesses in the piston which protrude a little further from the piston axis than the soles of the grooves; The bolts are attached in such a way and have such a length that they do not enter grooves in which they do not have to act and are held in their position by the piston rings located in these grooves.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 is an axial section through the piston with the sealing rings, FIG. 2 is a cross section along the line 2-2 of FIG.
The explosion engine piston is provided with a number of sealing rings which can no longer change their mutual position and their position in relation to the piston after assembly. In the embodiment shown, the piston a has four grooves a1, a2, a3, a4,

Used in a way that their cracked areas are offset from one another or are diametrically opposite one another. In the piston a, two bores c1 and c2 are arranged parallel to the piston axis and diametrically opposite one another.
A pin c10 is inserted into the bore Cl as a locking bolt for the sealing ring b4; the length of the bolt is equal to the distance between the bottom of this hole and the lower surface of the groove a3 and the bolt is driven so deep that its top surface is flush with the lower surface of the groove a3. A second pin c100 is then inserted into the bore c1, which is intended to hold the sealing ring b2 in place and extends from the upper edge of the groove a3 to the lower edge of the groove a1. The upper end of the bore c1 is then closed with a screw head c1000, the lower end of which does not touch the upper sealing ring b1.
In the same way, a locking bolt CSO is inserted into the bore c2 for the sealing ring b3, which extends from the upper edge of the lower groove a4 to the lower edge of the groove a2.
EMI1.2
Prevent visible turning of the sealing rings in the piston grooves. Each locking bolt is secured in its position by the neighboring piston rings. The bores of the piston receiving the locking bolts are expediently arranged in such a way that they lie above the bottom of the grooves a1 to al.
