Device on spinning and twisting machines for the automatic clamping of a broken thread.
The subject of the invention is a device on twisting or spinning machines for automatically clamping a broken thread before it enters the draw-in or. Delivery roles. The new device consists in the fact that the thread monitor, which oscillates around a horizontal axis and is held in an upright position under the tension of the thread placed in its eyelet, moves away from the stop in the event of thread breakage to the free swing acting on the thread jamming.
The drawings illustrate in FIGS. 1 to 10 different exemplary embodiments of the new device in use in conventional thread turning (twisting) machines, in FIGS. 11 to 14, however, in use in Scottish machines.
I and 2 are the side views of an embodiment before and after clamping the thread, in which the fixed clamping surface is formed by a concentric roller 207 mounted on the pin 209, while the movable one is formed by an eccentric roller 208 rotatable about pin 210, to which the thread guide 214 is fastened in an upright position, through whose eye 215 the thread runs after its passage through the rollers 219, 220. The thread guide lever 214 is drawn towards the bracket 212 fastened on the beam 213 by the thread lying in its eyelet 215 and is tensioned by the spindle pull, and is thereby subjected to a resilient load.
The reaction effect occurring when the thread breaks as a result of the thread pull suddenly ceasing brings the thread guide lever from its upright position to a free fall swing, whereby the eccentric part of the roller 208 moves up to the roller 207 and presses the thread lying in between against it. For better clamping of the thread, the eccentric roller 208 has a keyway 216 along its entire length. By inserting the re-tied thread into the eyelet 215, lever 214 is automatically returned to the upright position that opens the clamp and finds an abutment at 212. In this position, it is completely or almost completely balanced against the tension on the thread.
The exemplary embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4 in the same side views, but without rollers 219, 220, differs from the one just described only in that instead of roller 208, the similarly shaped end of an arm that can be rotated through 210 is provided. The effect is the same as described with reference to FIGS.
In the exemplary embodiment shown in detail in FIGS. 5 and 6 and in FIGS. 7 to 10, the thread guide 214 of the pivot pin 210 is first bent towards its ear part and then bent back toward the ear part. The bend 208 forms the movable clamping jaw, while the fixed one consists of a plate 207, against which the part 208 of the thread guide presses the thread in the event of a thread break. The plate 207 forms a whole with the plate 212 comprising the beam 213 of the machine. The device shown in Figs. 5 to 10 can be formed from sheet metal and is therefore inexpensive. Here too, the mode of operation is the same as that described with reference to FIGS.
The embodiments of FIGS. 1 to 5 can also be arranged in reverse
EMI1.1
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
With this arrangement, the part 208 acting as a movable clamping jaw swings upwards against the fixed clamping jaw 207 when the thread breaks.
For Scottish machines for wet twisting of the threads, two variants are shown in FIGS. 1I and 12 or 13 and 14 in side view with an uncracked and broken thread.
As can be seen, these devices are based on the same principles as those described with reference to FIGS. 1-10. The main difference is the different position of the clamping surfaces due to a different thread guide. In FIGS. 11 and 12, the axes 209 and 210 of the rollers 207 and 208 are attached to the upper end of the plate 211, which is attached to the beam 213 in an upright position and with an eyelet 2.
M to guide the thread
EMI2.1
As a result of the rotation of the spindle, the thread going through the spindle pulls on the lever 214, so that, as in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 5, it is spring loaded by its eyelet end, which stress comes into play as a reaction effect when the thread breaks and the lever 214 swings out the eccentric 208 rotating and pressing the thread against the roller 207 with the rib 217. In all the exemplary embodiments described above, the reaction effect is so strong that the thread guide comes to the free fall momentum even when in the ready position he has an overweight towards the thread coming from the upper roll.
The device according to FIGS. 13 and 14 differs from that of FIGS. 11 and 12 in that the plate 207 takes the place of the roller 207 and the bracket 217 of the thread guide lever 214 rotatable about axis 210 takes the place of the eccentric roller 208. The plate 207 here simultaneously represents the effect of the stop 221 that is no longer applicable. The effect is the same as that described with reference to FIGS. 11 and 12.
By using the devices described, the generation of waste is eliminated, since the thread held by the clamps at the moment of breakage cannot be wound on the guide rollers and there is no need to strip the thread from the rollers when the machine is stopped. Since you have to stop the spindle when twisting together a larger number of threads when a thread breaks, the momentum of the thread guide 21 can be used at the same time to stop the spindle when the thread breaks.
