  Verfahren zur Verarbeitung von Teerverdickungen. 



   Teerverdickungen, die nach diesem Velfahren bearbeitet werden sollen, kommen insbesondere bei der Entgasung, beispielsweise im Steigrohr, vor. Diese Verdickungen bilden Klumpen, die je nach der Grösse des Steigrohres bis zu 20 kg betragen ; sie sind um so lästiger, als durch die Verengerung des Steigrohres auch Betriebsstörungen hervorgerufen werden. In ihrem Innern bilden diese Klumpen eine vollständig feste Masse, während sie eine schmierig- ölige Oberfläche besitzen, die nach einiger Zeit auch erhärtet. Beim Wiedererwärmen oder beim Behandeln mit warmem Wasser werden diese Klumpen durchwegs schmierig und klebrig, werden jedoch bei erneutem Abkühlen allmählich wieder fest. Diese Teerverdickungen enthalten einen hohen Gehalt gebundenen Ammoniaks, insbesondere von Chlorammonium.

   Aber bisher ist es nicht möglich gewesen, die in den Teerverdickungen enthaltenen Stickstoffverbindungen von dem Teer zu trennen. Man hat zwar schon vorgeschlagen, gewöhnlichen flüssigen Teer innig mit warmem Wasser zu vermischen, aber ein derartiges Verfahren wäre im Gegensatze zum Teer bei den Teerverdickungen erfolglos ; denn in diesem Falle würde die Teerverdickung vollständig in eine schmierige Emulsion verwandelt, welche weder filtriert noch sonstwie verarbeitet werden könnte. 



   In Gemässheit der vorliegenden Erfindung erfolgt nun die Trennung der Stickstoffverbindungen von dem Teer dadurch, dass man die Teerverdickungen in Berührung mit kaltem Wasser fein zermahlt oder auf irgendeine andere Art fein zerkleinert. Die ursprünglich schmierig-ölige Oberfläche der Teerverdickung verliert durch dieses Verfahren sofort ihre klebrige Beschaffenheit, so dass die Zerkleinerung mittels irgendwelcher   Mahlgeräte   ohne weiteres ermöglicht wird, ohne dass sich das Arbeitsgut an den Geräten festsetzt. Infolge der Berührung'mit kaltem Wasser kann deshalb die Vermahlung ohne Schwierigkeit durchgeführt werden. Dabei tritt in überraschender Weise auch eine fast völlige Auflösung der Ammoniaksalze, insbesondere des Chlorammoniums, ein.

   Die Gewinnung der Salze aus der dabei entstandenen Lauge kann in bekannter Weise erfolgen.

   Thickening of tar, which should be processed after this cycle, occur in particular during degassing, for example in the riser pipe. These thickenings form lumps which, depending on the size of the riser pipe, can weigh up to 20 kg; they are all the more annoying as the narrowing of the riser pipe also causes operational disruptions. Inside, these lumps form a completely solid mass, while they have a greasy-oily surface that hardens after a while. When rewarmed or treated with warm water, these lumps will consistently become greasy and sticky, but will gradually solidify again when cooled again. These tar thickenings contain a high content of bound ammonia, especially chlorammonium.

   But so far it has not been possible to separate the nitrogen compounds contained in the tar thickening from the tar. It has already been suggested that ordinary liquid tar should be intimately mixed with warm water, but such a process, in contrast to tar, would be unsuccessful in the case of tar thickening; because in this case the thickening of the tar would be completely transformed into a greasy emulsion which could neither be filtered nor processed in any other way.



   In accordance with the present invention, the nitrogen compounds are separated from the tar by finely grinding the thickened tar in contact with cold water or comminuting it in some other way. The originally greasy-oily surface of the tar thickening immediately loses its sticky nature through this process, so that comminution by means of any grinding devices is easily made possible without the work material sticking to the devices. As a result of the contact with cold water, grinding can therefore be carried out without difficulty. Surprisingly, the ammonia salts, in particular the chlorammonium, also dissolve almost completely.

   The salts can be obtained in a known manner from the resulting liquor.

PATENT-ANSPRUCH : Verfahren zur Verarbeitung von Teerverdickungen in Gegenwart von Wasser, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass behufs Erzielung einer feinen Verteilung des zu behandelnden Materials kaltes Wasser angewendet wird, mit welchem die Verdickungen zusammen fein zermahlen oder sonstwie fein zerkleinert werden. **WARNUNG** Ende CLMS Feld Kannt Anfang DESC uberlappen**.
