   Bei dem grossen Mangel an Ölen ist es ein dringendes Bedürfnis, dass alle Maschinenöle nach ihrer Verwendung gereinigt und dann ihrem Gebrauchszweck von neuem zugeführt werden. Das Öl enthält nach dem Gebrauch fast stets Wasser und andere fremde Bestandteile, deren Entfernung durch Behandlung mit Schwefelsäure und nachträgliches Auslaugen, durch Filtrieren oder auf eine andere, in solchen Fällen übliche Weise nur sehr mangelhaft gelingt.

Die Erfindung betrifft nun ein Verfahren zur Reinigung von Maschinenölen, bei dessen Anwendung alle Fremdstoffe restlos entfernt werden. Gemäss der Erfindung wird das bekanntlich stark hygroskopische Glyzerinpech unter Zusatz von etwa 25% Wasser in einem Kessel erhitzt und bis zur Sirupstärke eingedickt. Einem Teil dieser Masse werden etwa 20 Teile verunreinigtes Maschinenöl beigefügt, worauf die Mischung zum Kochen gebracht wird. Will die Flüssigkeit überschäumen, dann wird noch etwas Öl hinzugegossen und darauf wird das Gemisch etwa zwei Stunden lang gekocht.
