Beispiel I :

Process for the preparation of copper-based acidic dyes for wool.
In a further development of the process, protected by the parent patent No. 74233 and its additional patents No. 74396 and 74397, for the preparation of copper-like acidic dyes for wool, it was found that those leukotriarylmethanazo dyes that are obtained by coupling the diazo compounds of such leukotriarylmethane derivatives that are in an aryl radical can also be found contain a hydroxyl and an amino group in the o-position to one another, arise with suitable components, can be converted into new technically very valuable copper compounds.
The production of the copper compounds is done either according to the method described in the parent patent by the action of copper or copper compounds on the leukotriarylmethanazo dyes mentioned or according to the method of the additional patent no Copper compounds.
The leukotriaryl methane derivatives on which the new process is based as starting materials and which contain a hydroxyl and an amino group in the o-position in an aryl radical are described in patent no.
The overpass. This leukotriarylmethanazo dyes in new valuable copper compounds is illustrated by the following examples:
Example I:
35 parts of the dye shown in Example 4 of Patent No. 82760 are dissolved in 1000 parts of warm water and at 700 a solution of 13 parts of crystallized copper sulfate in 50 parts of water is added, the greenish-blue color of the solution turning blue. The resulting copper compound is deposited by salting out, filtered, pressed and dried. It is a blue-black powder that dissolves in water with blue, in concentrated sulfuric acid with green color.
The new copper compound stains the animal fibers from an acid bath in pure blue tones that are very washable and lightfast.
Example 2:
37 parts of the dye obtained according to Example 5 of Patent No. 82760 are dissolved in 1000 parts of warm water and, at about 800, a solution of 13 parts of crystallized copper sulfate in 50 parts of water is added, the green-yellow color of the solution changing to pure green and the copper compound fails at the same time. It is filtered, pressed and dried. It forms a black-green powder that is soluble in water with a pure green color and in concentrated sulfuric acid with an orange-red color. The animal fibers are dyed from an acid bath in pure green, washable and lightfast shades.
