Die bisher bekannten Vorrichtungen zum Öffnen von Briefhüllen mit einer längs der
Briefhüllenkante zu führenden Messerklinge haben den Nachteil, dass die richtige Einführung der Messerspitze in die zu öffnende Briefhülle nicht leicht zu bewerkstelligen ist.
Der Erfindung gemäss wird nun dieser Nachteil durch Anbringung eines Fensters in der Scheide vermieden.
