PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : i.

Tiltable stands for electric light bulbs.

There are already stands for electric incandescent lamps with ball joints, which are provided with channels for leading through the lead wires, known. However, these constructions have the disadvantage that if the joint is bent more strongly, the insulation of the wires can be damaged by edges.

This drawback is eliminated by the present invention, one embodiment of which is illustrated in the drawing, FIG. 1 showing an axial section of the ball joint, while FIG. 2 shows a view of the ball part and FIG. 3 shows a view of the hood of the shell part of the ball joint.

The shell part a of the ball joint arranged at the end of the stand part has external threads on which the union nut b sits, through which the hood c is held by means of its flange. This hood c has a slot d running along a meridian which, when the ball e is rotated about an axis perpendicular to the direction of this slot, allows the movement of the flattened projection f of the ball, so that the ball can be rotated 900 to both sides . If the ball e is to be tilted in different directions, it is only necessary to rotate the hood c around the central axis of the stand part a in order to bring the slot d into the desired tilting plane, which is due to the flattening of the projection f when the ball rotates happens automatically around the longitudinal axis.

If the union nut b is screwed inwards on the stand part a, the ball is clamped between it and the shell part of the joint and the ball is held in its respective position.

The stand part a is just like that. Centrally pierced tilting part, whereby a channel g, h is formed for the power supply wires to be passed through both parts. The end of the bore g in the stator a is sufficiently wide and the inner part i of the bore h of the ball is widened like a slot so that the power supply wires in the joint can be moved laterally and allow the joint to bend without being rubbed.

As you can see, there is insulation for the power supply wires in this case
Construction, although tilting in all directions and locking in any position is possible, no danger.

Incidentally, the design of the ball joint can be changed in various ways with the locking device.

PATENT CLAIMS: i. Tiltable stand for electric light bulbs with one with channels for the
Ball joint provided with lead wires, characterized in that the bore of the spherical part of the joint, which is provided with a meridional slot and which is provided with a meridian slot, is widened like a slot to allow lateral shifts of the lead wires when the joint is bent.
