Abzweigklemme.
Zum Abzweigen einer Neben-von einer Hauptleitung sind Vorrichtungen nötig, die in bisher üblicher Weise durch eine oder mehrere Pressschrauben und Platten die Leitungen in Verbindung brachten. Hierbei ist vor allem nötig, beide Hände zu Hilfe zu nehmen, ferner müssen Schrauben gelöst werden, so dass der Monteur die Klemme zuerst mehr oder weniger zerlegen musste, um sie an der Leitung selbst wieder zeitraubend zusammenzusetzen.
Ein weiterer Nachteil aller bekannten Verbinder ist der, dass die beiden Leitungen nie miteinander in direkte Berührung kommen, sondern nur mittelbar durch das Metall der Abzweigvorrichtung ; dadurch war man gezwungen, die Abzweigstelle aus demselben Material zu machen wie die Leitungen, um elektrolytische Wirkungen zu vermeiden, was z. B. bei Aluminium besonders unangenehm ist.
Beide Nachteile vermeidet die in den Fig. i bis 6 dargestellte Abzweigklemme vollständig.
Die Montage geschieht in einfachster Weise derart, dass der Monteur den mit Schlitzen y versehenen Bügel a (Fig. i bis 4) auf die Hauptleitung d mit einer Hand anhängt, mit der anderen bringt er die abzweigende Leitung e zwischen die Hauptleitung und die mit Rinnen g versehene Klemmplatte b (Fig. I, 2, 5, 6) und klemmt beide Leitungen direkt aufeinander durch Anziehen der Schraube c fest Der Vorgang ist also von grösster Einfachheit und kann von jedem ungeschulten Personal vollzogen werden.
Das Material der Klemme kann dabei unabhängig vom Material der Leitung genommen werden, da die Klemme selbst nicht stromdurchflossen ist, also jede elektrolytische Wirkung unmöglich ist.

Another disadvantage of all known connectors is that the two lines never come into direct contact with one another, but only indirectly through the metal of the branching device; this forced the junction to be made of the same material as the cables in order to avoid electrolytic effects. B. is particularly uncomfortable with aluminum.
Both disadvantages are completely avoided by the branch terminal shown in FIGS.
The assembly is carried out in the simplest way in such a way that the fitter attaches the bracket a provided with slots y (Fig. I to 4) to the main line d with one hand, with the other he brings the branching line e between the main line and the one with grooves g provided clamping plate b (Fig. I, 2, 5, 6) and clamps both lines directly on each other by tightening the screw c. The process is therefore extremely simple and can be carried out by any untrained staff.
The material of the terminal can be used independently of the material of the line, since the terminal itself does not have current flowing through it, i.e. any electrolytic effect is impossible.
