Die Erfindung 11 bezieht sich auf ein Instrument für den ärztlichen Gebrauch zur
Behandlung der Scheide.
Gemäss vorliegender Erfindung wird das in die Scheide eingeführte Instrument pneumatisch in der Weise aufgeblasen, dass dadurch ein absorbierender, mit dem Arzneimittel gesättigter Teil des Instruments in Berührung mit dem zu behandelnden Körperteil gebracht wird.
Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht eine Ausführungsform der Erfindung. Fig. 1 ist eine Seitenansicht des Instruments. Fig. 2 bis 5 sind Einzelheiten.
Nach der Zeichnung besteht das Instrument aus einem im Querschnitt runden oder ovalen, hohlen, an beiden Enden offenem Rohr 1. Das eine Rohrende : 2 ist erweitert ausgebildet. Dieses Spekulum soll die Handhabung des Instruments erleichtern ; es ist zweckmässig aus Metall hergestellt und wird vor Gebrauch des Instruments von diesem entfernt.
Ein pneumatisches : Kissen 3, welches zweckmässig von länglicher Gestalt sein kann und dessen Ende 4 mit einer durch ein Absperrventil abschliessbaren Öffnung 16 versehen ist, wird von einem ähnlich gestalteten Mantel 6 aus Tuch oder anderem absorbierenden Material umschlossen. Das eine Ende des Mantels ist abgeschlossen, während das andere Ende offen ist.
Beim Zusammensetzen der Teile des Instruments wird der Mantel 6 über das Kissen. 3 geschoben, und beide, Mantel und Kissen, in das Spekulum derart eingebracht, dass letzteres in Berührung mit dem Mantel 6 kommt.
Um eine zweckentsprechende Handhabung des Instruments in seiner Gebrauchsstellung zu ermöglichen, ist ein aus zwei Teilen 8 und 9 bestehendes Element 7 vorgesehen. Der Teil 8 steckt teleskopartig in dem hohlen Teil 9, während letzterer mit einem Bajonettschlitz 10 ausgebildet ist, in welchem sich ein an dem Stangenteil 8 hervorstehender Ansatz 11 führt. Durch diese Anordnung werden die Teile in ihrer eingestellten Lage festgestellt. Das Element 7 ist zwischen dem Kissen und dem Mantel angebracht derart, dass sich das eine Stangenende während des Einführens des Spekulums in die Scheide, welche natürlich nach erfolgter Sättigung des Mantels mit dem Heilmittel vor sich geht, gegen das abgeschlossene Ende des Mantels anlegt.
Jetzt entfernt man das Rohr 1, wobei der Knopf 1 : 2 der Stange festgehalten wird, um eine Lagenänderung des Kissens und des Mantels zu verhindern.
Ein mit einem Mundstück 14 versehener Kautschukball 13 dient zum Aufblähen des Kissens. Zu diesem Zwecke wird das Mundstück in die Öffnung 16 eingeführt, wobei dessen Einführung durch Vorsprünge 15 begrenzt werden, welche durch auf gegenüberliegenden Enden der Öffnung 16 angebrachte Schlitze 1'1 hindurchtreten. Nach erfolgter Auffüllung des Kissens mit Luft. wird der Ball entfernt und das Kissen durch Ventil 6 abgesperrt.
In diesem Zustande hält das Kissen den mit dem Heilmittel durchtränkten Mantel in
Berührung mit dem kranken Körperteil. Soll das Kissen und der Mantel aus der Scheide entfernt werden, so ist es nur nötig, das Mundstück 14 des Balles 13 in die Öffnung 4 einzuführen, das Ventil zu öffnen und die Luft aus dem Kissen entweichen zu lassen ; Kissen und Mantel können nun leicht entfernt werden.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : 1. Instrument für den ärztlichen Gebrauch zur Behandlung der Scheide, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es aus einem auffüllbaren Kissen (3) besteht, welches von einem sack- artigen, von dem Heilmittel durchtränkten Mantel (6) umschlossen ist, wobei beide, Kissen und Mantel, in einem an sich bekannten Spekulum auswechselbar stecken, derart, dass letzteres nach erfolgter Einführung des Instruments in die Scheide ohne Lagenänderung des Kissens und Mantels entfernt kann.

According to the drawing, the instrument consists of a tube 1, which is round or oval in cross-section, and is open at both ends. One end of the tube 2 is expanded. This speculum is intended to facilitate the handling of the instrument; it is expediently made of metal and is removed from the instrument before it is used.
A pneumatic cushion 3, which can expediently be elongated and the end 4 of which is provided with an opening 16 which can be closed by a shut-off valve, is enclosed by a similarly designed jacket 6 made of cloth or other absorbent material. One end of the jacket is closed while the other end is open.
When assembling the parts of the instrument, the jacket 6 is over the cushion. 3 is pushed, and both the jacket and the pillow are inserted into the speculum in such a way that the latter comes into contact with the jacket 6.
In order to enable the instrument to be handled appropriately in its position of use, an element 7 consisting of two parts 8 and 9 is provided. The part 8 is telescopically inserted into the hollow part 9, while the latter is designed with a bayonet slot 10 in which a projection 11 protrudes from the rod part 8. With this arrangement, the parts are locked in their set position. The element 7 is attached between the pillow and the jacket in such a way that one end of the rod rests against the closed end of the jacket during the insertion of the speculum into the vagina, which of course takes place after the jacket is saturated with the medicinal product.
Now remove the tube 1, holding the button 1: 2 of the rod in place to prevent the pad and the jacket from changing position.
A rubber ball 13 provided with a mouthpiece 14 is used to inflate the cushion. For this purpose, the mouthpiece is inserted into the opening 16, its introduction being limited by projections 15 which pass through slits 1'1 made on opposite ends of the opening 16. After the cushion has been filled with air. the ball is removed and the cushion shut off by valve 6.
