In der Einrichtung nach Fig. 2 ist A das Ofengehäuse, B der Tiegel zur Aufnahme des Gasflusses und F der Rohransatz zur Erzeugung der Luftleere in der Form C. Der Vorteil dieser Luftleere besteht darin, dass infolge der Entfernung der Luft auf der Form mit um so grösserer Sicherheit ein von Luftblasen freier Gusskörper erhalten wird. D bezeichnet sowohl in der Fig. i als in der Fig. 2 das Zuleitungsrohr für die geschmolzene Glasmasse.
Es hat sich nun gezeigt, dass es möglich ist, das teure Platin bei der Herstellung der Düsen auszuschalten, wenn eine Glassorte gewählt wird, die einen besonders tiefen Schmelzpunkt besitzt, sich aber dennoch in gewöhnliche Glasrohre homogen einsetzen lässt. Bei Verwendung solcher niedrig schmelzender Glassorten ist es möglich, Drähte aus niedriger schmelzenden, gegen Oxydation jedoch ebenfalls genügend widerstandsfähigen Metallen, wie z. B. Silber, Nickel u. dgl., zur Herstellung der Düsen zu verwenden.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : i. Verfahren zur Herstellung von massiven Glaszylindern mit eingeschmolzenen Längsdrähten zur Herstellung von Düsenböden für Spinndüsen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass in einer passenden Form ein Bündel parallel und mit Abstand voneinander verlaufender Metalldrähte von unten her mit Glasfluss umgossen wird.
