PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : i.

Exposure meter, if used from the time that a photosensitive paper needs,
 EMI1.1

The present invention relates to a light meter of the type in which, when used, the light intensity is deduced from the time it takes a photosensitive paper to run up to a certain comparison color under the effect of the light.

In the new exposure meter, a mirror system is arranged according to the invention, by means of which it is possible to observe the part of the entire surface of the photosensitive paper to be exposed from the side or the rear of the exposure meter. This makes it possible to use the light meter in places where the paper would not be observable from the front of the light meter; so it is B. possible to attach the exposure meter to a telescope to measure the light intensity in its exit pupil, or to use it in the focusing screen of a camera.

It is expedient to attach a collecting system with a short focal length to observe the light-sensitive paper, the importance of which here does not lie in its magnifying effect, but rather in the fact that it allows the light meter to be built flat and yet, in that it is very close to the observer . Eye location is assigned to keep light coming from behind by the observer himself. The collecting system may e.g. B. consist of a short focal length converging lens; if a concave mirror is used instead, this itself forms part of the mirror system or it can also form the entire mirror system.
 EMI1.2

The first example is shown in FIG. 1 in a view from the rear and in FIG. 2 in a section.

A sheet metal housing a is provided with an elevation aO on which a flat sheet metal shell b with an indentation b can be rotated. One of a button cl and one
 EMI1.3
A converging lens j is seated on the side of the housing a. In this example, the observation takes place from the side.

The second embodiment is shown in Fig. 3 in a view from the rear and in Fig. 4 in a section. It differs from the first only in that the mirror system is formed by a concave mirror t alone. which also plays the role of the collecting system. A plane-parallel disk k protects the device from dust from the rear. In this example, observation is from the rear.

PATENT CLAIMS: i. Exposure meter, when used, the light intensity is deduced from the time it takes a light-sensitive paper to fade to a certain comparison color, characterized by a mirror system that enables the part of the front surface of the light-sensitive surface to be exposed to be exposed Observe the paper from the side or the back of the light meter.
