PATEXT-ANSPHÜCHE : i.

Edgewise coil winding for electrical machines and apparatus.
In the patents Xl '. 89O {1 describes an edgewise coil winding in which a conductor strip is first provided with cutouts, folded onto it and then formed into the desired turns by bending over at the points weakened by the cutouts. The subject matter of the invention is a winding which is also produced by bending over a conductor strip weakened at suitable points or having half the conductor cross-section. is produced, in which, however, the previous folding of a double-width tape is avoided in that a conductor tape of the width of the finished conductor is prepared accordingly.
The finished conductor has the same properties as the conductor strip folded according to the parent patent.

In contrast to the embodiment in FIG. I, alternately on one and the other side of the conductor.
3 and 4 an embodiment is shown in which a conductor with the full cross section (width a and thickness b) is used as the starting material. The recesses are then only specially worked out from the same, B. by milling. Planing or sanding. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 4, the recesses can all be made on the same or alternately on the opposite side, depending on the type of winding that follows.
As stated in the parent patent, the recesses naturally have a square shape when producing rectangular coils, and rhombus-shaped in the case of polygonal coils.
Of course, for manufacturing or other reasons, a shape that deviates from the square or parallelogram shape can be selected without affecting the invention.
PATEXT REQUIREMENTS: i. Edgewise coil winding for electrical machines and apparatus according to patent no. 8904I, characterized by a band-shaped conductor with local cross-sectional reductions of the width (a) of the fully wound conductor, through the use of which folding of the conductor is avoided.
