  Hinged key.

Hinged keys per se have become known. However, the same had the disadvantage that the individual members of the key, especially when inserting it into the lock, had to be held in the direction of insertion by hand. Furthermore, the known keys of this type have the disadvantage that the hinged beards usually lie across, even when carried in the pocket, which is uncomfortable. The subject of the invention is now a hinged beard key in which these disadvantages are eliminated. For this purpose, the last link of the beard is held in the longitudinal direction of the key shaft by a leaf spring with a ball end. In order to avoid damaging the pocket, a sleeve of a known type can be pushed over the entire key.

The essence of the subject matter of the invention emerges from the following description and from the drawing, u. Between FIG. 1 shows a plan view of the key, FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the key with the beard wrapped around, FIG. 3 shows the same, the key seen from below, FIG. 4 shows a section through the key along line AA of FIG , Fig. Ï a cross section through the key along line BB of Fig. 2, Fig. 6 the key with the sleeve pushed on.
 EMI1.1
Piece 6 arranged recess into which the ball end 10 of the spring 9 engages. 12 is the sleeve to slide onto the key when not in use.
