Description

    Dampfwarmwasser-Heizkörper.
 EMI1.1

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

    Steam hot water radiator.
 EMI1.1

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 The heating pipe has only one opening at the bottom which is provided with a throttle or shut-off element, the free passage cross section of which can be set as desired through the valve i, the spindle k of which can be actuated by an external handle I. The more this passage cross-section is narrowed,
 EMI2.1
 and vice versa.

   Of course, the water level in the steam heating pipe b, corresponding to the respective steam pressure and the respective opening cross-section of the regulating organ i, is set at a certain level and remains unchanged at this level because there is always so much water in the water room through the lower opening of the steam heating pipe b a of the Heizoliedes is displaced and flows through the overflow pipe than is formed by condensation of the steam in the steam heating pipe.

   If the regulating element i is completely blocked, so that the connection between the steam heating pipe and the water space of the heating element is interrupted, the amount of water that increases due to condensation in the steam heating pipe cannot be displaced; therefore the water level in the steam heating pipe rises, the heating surface becomes smaller and smaller and becomes zero when the whole steam heating pipe is filled with water.

   Since the control now only acts directly on the connection between the steam heating pipe and the water space of the heating element, the amount of water in the radiator elements connected at mund n is completely uninvolved in the control process, so that the sensitivity of the control is increased.

   The connection opening o between the upper part of the Wasserra'lmes ades heating element and the chamber e is used to vent the water space.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Steam hot water radiator according to patent no. 89464, characterized in that the lower opening of the steam pipes is provided with an externally operated control element for throttling or blocking the connection between the steam pipes and the water space surrounding them, for the purpose of measuring the displacement of the water from the steam pipes and thus the heating effect independently of the prevailing steam pressure.
