Device for supplying electron tubes from a high-voltage network.

When electron tubes are connected directly to a power line, the fluctuations in the mains voltage are very uncomfortable and, since they are partly electrostatic in nature, they cannot be completely eliminated by sieve chains.

The subject of the present invention is an arrangement which avoids this inconvenience in that the network energy is first converted into high-frequency energy of constant amplitude, which then supplies the heating and anode current for the tube arrangement. For this purpose, a tube generator is connected to the network, which excites an electrical flywheel circuit in a manner known per se. The electrical inertia of such a circuit avoids rapid changes in amplitude and, in particular, rounds off the steep-faced voltage surges of the collector noises etc. to the point of harmlessness. It is advisable to choose a frequency for the flywheel circuit that is only slightly above the audibility limit.

The aforementioned high-frequency current is now used either directly or after transformation to heat the filament of an electron tube, while it can still be rectified through a valve tube to feed the anode of this tube. Of course, even with partial use of accumulators, only the heating or anode current can be obtained in the manner described above.
