Description

Sound box for speaking machines or the like.

The invention relates to a sound box for speaking machines or the like, in which the needle holder is mounted between rows of support bodies, one row of support bodies being arranged on the sound box, while the other row is pressed by springs. The essence of the invention is that the spring-loaded support bodies are located on a special plate. As a result, the tendency of individual pressure pieces to twist and cause jamming is eliminated and a secure mounting of the needle holder is achieved while its mobility is in no way hindered by the compression springs.

The subject matter of the invention is illustrated, for example, in the drawing. At the sound box
 EMI1.1
the springs f, fl serve to resiliently press the plate p which is united with the needle holder n. In the case of the sound box according to FIG. 2, grains k and cutting edges m are interchanged above and below on one side. In both cases, the edges of the cutting edges and the tips of the grains run in a line around which the needle holder swings freely.

According to FIG. 3, the cutting edges or tips are replaced by balls. This has the advantage that the generated sound is purer and more expressive and that the manufacture of the sound box becomes simpler and cheaper. It is useful here to use leaf springs to press the special plate, which enables the springs to be more carefully fastened and adjusted.

Between the body of the sound box a and the plate p combined with the needle holder n, balls r, r 'are arranged, which rest in corresponding recesses in the body a and the plate p. There are balls s, s' between the plate p and the particular plate d. The centers of all spheres lie in a plane parallel to the membrane. Coil springs can be used to press plate d. In the present embodiment, however, leaf springs t, t 'are arranged. Each spring is held in place by a screw u or d on the body of the sound box a. Another screw v, v 'with counter nut w, w' is used to adjust the spring pressure.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Sound box for speaking machines or the like, in which the needle holder is mounted between rows of support bodies, one row of the support bodies being arranged on the sound box, while the other row is pressed by springs, characterized in that the spring pressure Support body (m, k) are attached to a special plate (d).
