Siegelkerze.
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Siegellackstange mit im Innern eingebetteter Leuchtkerze mit Dochteinlage, welche an ihrem äusseren Umfange mit einer nur bei hoher Temperatur schmelzenden, gut brennbaren, luftabschliessenden Masse überzogen ist.
Bei den Siegellackstangen mit einer einfachen mit Wachs, Stearin, Paraffin, Hartspiritus od. dgl. imprägnierten Dochteinlage werden bekanntlich beim Giessen der Siegellackstangen infolge der heissen Gussmasse die Imprägnierungsmittel zum Schmelzen gebracht. Hiedurch entsteht der Nachteil, dass die Imprägnierungsmittel sich mit der Siegellackmasse vermischen und sie verunreinigen, so dass die Doehtflamme, sobald sie den Siegellack erreicht hat, leicht erlischt und ein vorzeitiges Verkohlen der Brennstelle des Dochtes eintritt.
Der Zweck der Erfindung ist, diese Übelstände zu beseitigen und ein ununterbrochenes Siegeln

In der Siegellackstange a ist eine Leuchtkerze b eingebettet, deren Docht c über die Oberkante der Siegellackmasse a etwas hinausragt und als Zünd-bzw. Flammenteil dient. Die Kerze b, welche zweckmässig aus solchem Material besteht, das eine hellbrennende und nicht russende Flamme gibt, ist am äusserem Umfange mit einer Schicht d aus schwer brennbarer, luftabschliessender Masse, wie beispielsweise Zaponlack, Kollodium od. dgl. überzogen.
Letztere verhindern ein Weichwerden der Kerzenmasse und schützen diese beim Giessen der Siegelkerze vor Verunreinigung und Verschmelzung und ausserdem vor äusseren Temperatureinflüssen.
