   Bei Ausdehnung der Untersuchungen über den Einfluss der Seitenketten der Sulfosäuren der Amidound Diamidophenole auf ihre photographischen   Entwicklereigenschaften   auf die Sulfosäuren der Amidound Diamidokresole wurde gefunden, dass diese Verbindungen in ihren ätzalkalischen Lösungen dieselben hervorragenden Entwicklereigenschaften besitzen, wie ihre Stammsubstanzen die in dem ersten Zusatzpatent Nr. 94345 genannt sind. Vor allem ist auch bei diesen Verbindungen bemerkenswert. das grosse, noch bei keiner anderen Entwicklersubstanz beobachtete Ausgleichsvermögen bei den verschiedensten Belichtungsunterschieden, so dass Fehlresultate innerhalb der in der Praxis   vorkommenden   Belichtungsfehler so gut wie ausgeschlossen sind.

   Da die Gegenwart der Methylgruppe im Kern der Verbindungen eine geringe Verzögerung der Entwicklungsgeschwindigkeit bedingt, so arbeiten diese Verbindungen besonders weich, wobei bei der Möglichkeit einer langen schleierfreien Entwicklung in den Schatten besonders viel herausgeholt werden kann, ohne dass die Lichter zu kreidig werden. Die im Stammpatent Nr. 94344 und in dem ersten Zusatzpatent Nr. 94345 hervorgehobenen neuen Eigenschaften und Vorzüge der neuen Entwicklersubstanzen gelten auch im vollen Masse für die Sulfosäuren der Amido-und Diamidokresole.

   When the investigations into the influence of the side chains of the sulfonic acids of the amido and diamidophenols on their photographic developer properties were extended to the sulfonic acids of the amido and diamidocresols, it was found that these compounds in their caustic alkaline solutions have the same excellent developer properties as their parent substances in the first additional patent No. 94345 are named. Above all, it is also remarkable with these connections. the great ability to compensate for the most varied of exposure differences, which has not yet been observed with any other developer substance, so that incorrect results within the exposure errors that occur in practice are virtually impossible.

   Since the presence of the methyl group in the core of the compounds causes a slight delay in the development rate, these compounds work particularly smoothly, with the possibility of a long, haze-free development in the shadows, a lot can be extracted without the lights becoming too chalky. The new properties and advantages of the new developer substances highlighted in the parent patent no. 94344 and in the first additional patent no. 94345 also apply in full to the sulfonic acids of the amido and diamidocresols.
