SelbstanlaufenderEinphasensynchronmotor.

Self-starting single-phase synchronous motor.
The invention relates to a self-starting synchronous motor. which by virtue of the magnetic remanence in its rotor starts up by itself without any external means. maintains synchronism with an alternating current of a sufficient number of alternations for practical lighting purposes and has no displacement of the magnetism in the rotor at synchronous speed.
The invention is shown in the drawing, for example, in application to a time counter or a clock, but is not limited thereto. Fig. 1 is a top view. Fig. 2 is a front view with parts partially broken away. Fig. S is a side view.
In the embodiment of the invention shown here, 10 denotes the two-pole field magnet of an AC motor a, 12 and 13 are its two opposite poles. each of which is divided. so that under the action of the shielding coils 14, 15, the magnetism in the legs 16, 1i gives a delay against the magnetism in the legs 18, 19. a Ferraris rotating field (split phase rotating field) is created.
In the space filled by the rotating field of the pole dz there is a runner who is able to do without external

gap is separated.
It has been found that with this arrangement the magnetic remanence in the rotor produces a strong starting force and a very pronounced tendency. to work in exact synchronicity, because the magnetic lines of force in the barrel strive for it. unchanged

and the transmission is enclosed in a nearly airtight housing 29 filled with lubricating oil.
