Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  VerfahrenzurelektrolytischenAufarbeitungzinkhaltigerMaterialien.
 EMI1.1

  Process for the electrolytic reconditioning of zinc-containing materials.
 EMI1.1
 The calculated amount of zinc-like material is continuously added in the finest powder form by an adjustable conveyor and this slurry is continuously reacted in a rotating mixing device (e.g. a turbo pump or a disintegrator) by increasing the pressure and mixing it thoroughly.

   As a result of the pressure and the high speed of movement, the material is intimately distributed in one another in such a way that the acid is neutralized or the zinc is dissolved in the shortest possible time without having to use an excess of zinc material. In this case, the zinc contained in the zinc material is fully utilized. so that with this method of operation, in contrast to the earlier method, it is possible to use the electrolyte flowing out of the electrolysis without a large? To continuously regenerate the supply of zinc material.

   The electrolyte flowing out of the mixing device can be cleaned of the insoluble impurities in a clarifying funnel, as in the method of the second additional patent No. 94283, or the insoluble residues can be filtered through a filter of any construction, whereupon the electrolyte can be filtered. as indicated in the parent patent, flows back to the electrolysis.

     PATENT CLAIMS:
 EMI1.2
 Zinc material according to parent patent no. 94281. characterized in that the dissolution of the zinc material in the deeper parts of the flow apparatus takes place in such a way that only the undissolved impurities enter the flow apparatus by adjusting the flow rate in the apparatus
