Getreide-Beizvorrichtung.

Grain pickling device.
The dressing of grains in suitable dressing liquids causes grain crops that are lighter than water. Difficulties as the grains, for example oats, float on the surface of the liquid and do not want to submerge. With such heating devices that work with a very flat pickling screw lying in the liquid, the lower end of which extends to
If the pickling trough is sufficient, it has hitherto been difficult or impossible to feed the mentioned type of seed grain to the lower end of the pickling screw.
The invention relates to a pickling device. in which this disadvantage is avoided. The feature of the invention consists in the fact that within a narrow channel reaching down into the pickling liquid, a plate that is smooth or roughened on both sides, which is inevitably moved up and down in the channel. The grain fed into the latter above is conveyed downward against the buoyancy into the liquid and fed to the pickling screw or the like. If the plate is moved up and down quickly, it takes the grain down with it every time due to the friction. whereby the above abandoned good pushes and the weight of the dry good pushes down on the already wet good. Wetting the grains makes the grain heavier and reduces buoyancy.
With every upward movement the plate pulls back again from the downward demanded grain, whereupon the game repeats itself in that the material is stuck in the relatively narrow channel and is jerked further downward. The device has the advantage that it can be retrofitted into any existing pickling device, so that the pickling device can be used for all types of grain.
The subject of the invention is shown in the drawing in one embodiment. The grain a, for example oats, comes from the feed hopper 6 with the help of the rotating conveyor roller c in a thin and correspondingly wide jet into the upper end of the relatively narrow channel cl. The two walls tl and d1 run approximately parallel to each other. The channel has any width perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. A plate e extends into this narrow channel. which is longitudinally guided on the narrow walls of the channel and is moved up and down relatively quickly by the crank mechanism f. The plate e is smooth or roughened on both sides or also provided with resistances, which are formed for example by punched out tongues.
The walls d and d1 of the channel can be perforated. so that the liquid is just as high inside the channel as outside. The grain fed into the top of the channel is transported downwards against the buoyancy every time the plate e descends within the narrow channel d, being carried along by friction or by the resistances g becomes. For this purpose, the channel must be correspondingly narrow so that the goods can accumulate in it. The still dry seed, which is always given up again, presses through its weight on the already wet seed within the Rinnet so that a corresponding force always opposes the buoyancy. The up and down movement of the plate e must not be too slow.
With each downward movement of the plate e, the material within the channel is subject to a kind of impact effect and is thereby conveyed downwards, while when it is moved back, the plate retracts in the material. As a result of this effect, the material moves gradually down the channel d and is fed to the cylindrical container h, within which the pickling screw i works. In this way it is possible to feed the grain to the pickling screw i even if it is lighter than water.

The drive of the plate e can take place in any other way. The setup is so simple that, as mentioned, it can be retrofitted into any existing pickling machine.
