Patent No. 94985 describes a device for the transmission of optical images which are projected through a moving slit onto a number of selenium or similar cells.

According to the invention below, images or fonts u. The like, which are recorded on a transparent material such as glass, paper, etc., transmitted by electrical means and moved over a fixed slit through which they are thrown by means of its light source onto a number of selenium or similar cells, the effectiveness of which affects the individual End points is used accordingly one behind the other in the circuit.

A number of suitable selenium or similar cells lie next to one another in a comb-like manner, the connections of which lead to contacts J-A \ which are arranged in a semicircle and which are ground by the two contact springs F and F1, which are isolated from one another. In front of the cell is the transparent image to be transmitted, through which the light rays from the light source fall on the cell (Fig.]). The stationary sheet B is placed between the image and the cell, in which there is a slot V which is inclined to the image horizontal and calculated in the image or font width to be transmitted (FIG. 3).

By means of the light source, a small strip of images or text of the whole to be transferred is thrown through the slit onto the cells lying next to one another, whereby each receives a certain conductivity. The continuous movement of the image or document to be transmitted would result in a distortion of the image or written characters when the slit was placed horizontally due to the successive removal of contact. This is avoided because the slot is inclined in such a way that its diagonal represents the horizontal line of the picture or document. whereby

to take. This also allows the icons or characters to be enlarged and larger sub-cells to be used.

(It is well known that the production of my identical selenium or similar cells causes great difficulties.) PATENT CLAIMS:
