Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Elektrisches Entladungsrohr.

Electric discharge tube.
There are constructions of high-performance electron tubes are known in which the advantage of a
Water cooling (liquid cooling) of the anode with which is combined by relatively small melting points in that the anode is designed as a metallic hollow body through which coolant flows. In such arrangements, one or two melt points for the metal body were previously required. These are technically difficult to manufacture; The invention relates to a way of avoiding them.
A heat sink made of glass, e.g. B. in the form of a serpentine tube (1) (see figure), used, which is covered with a thin metal layer (2). The electrical supply is carried out through a connection wire 3, the insertion of which offers significantly fewer difficulties than that of a large metal pipe. A water-cooled pipe of this type therefore does not need more feed-throughs than a normal, uncooled one. The advantages mentioned also extend to transmission and rectification tubes.
