Den Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildet eine Umstimmvorrichtung insbesondere für Zitnern, welche darin besteht, dass einHilfssteg vorgesehen ist, welcher, je nach Bedarf in die Gebrauchslage gebracht, die Möglichkeit schafft, auch die bisher nicht vorhandenen Akkorde spielen zu können.
Dieser Hilfssteg ist erfindungsgemäss entweder umklappbar angeordnet, so dass er in der Normallage unterhalb der Saiten liegt, ohne dieselben zu beeinflussen, oder er ist in der Querrichtung der Saiten einschiebbar gelagert.
