Beispielsweise handelt es sich zuweilen darum, die Kapazität und den scheinbaren Isolierwiderstand (Ableitung) von kurzen   Kabelstücken   bei Wechselstrom einer bestimmten Frequenz zu ermitteln, oder den sogenannten Wellenwiderstand einer längeren Leitung zum   Zwecke seiner Nachbildung zumessen. Solche Messungen geschehen bis   jetzt zum Teil mit dervon A. Franke konstruierten Wechselstrommaschine und Kompensator oder mit der   Wechselstrombrücke.   Die Brücke hat den Vorzug grosser Genauigkeit, so dass sie in vielen Fällen allein zur Feststellung der vorkommenden kleinen Phasenwinkel geeignet ist.

   Hiebei tritt jedoch eine Schwierigkeit   auf :
