Fusspumpe.

Foot pump.
The subject of the invention is a foot pump for pumping up pneumatic tires, which is brought into connection with the tire valve by means of a sealing attachment, without the need for a lens. The essence of the invention is that the bottom of the pump has a shoulder protruding to the side of the pump cylinder, which has a bore shoulder parallel to the cylinder axis and lined with sealing material for placing on the pneumatic tire valve.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in exemplary embodiment in FIG. 1 in a side view and in FIG. 2 in a bottom view.
The pump cylinder 1 carries a bottom piece 2 which has a laterally protruding extension piece. 3 owns.
This has at the bottom a bore extension 4 parallel to the cylinder axis, which is lined with a sealing leather cap 5 and is connected to the pump cylinder by means of the inclined bore 6. The foot step 7 is cranked in such a way that it rests on the floor when the pump is placed on the valve.
For use, the pneumatic tire is turned so that the valve is at the bottom and therefore faces upwards. The pump is placed on the valve with the bore extension 4, which brings the valve into an airtight connection with the bore 3 through the sealing leather insert. The pressure required for sealing is brought about by the pressure of the foot on the footstep 7 and is increased with each downward stroke of the pump piston by the downward pressure of the air on the bottom of the pump cylinder.
Any conventional foot pump can easily be converted into a pump according to the invention, since it is only necessary to provide the cylinder with a corresponding foot piece. A leather ring whose circular cutout can be used to produce the cap 4 is used for sealing.
By eliminating the hose and the Dutch, the pump is cheaper and easier to use.
