EMI1.1
Three-phase machines with asynchronous start-up, which are made to run synchronously by direct current excitation, have in many cases a special traction current that is ineffective during the asynchronous start-up process. Taking into account the copper losses of such direct current windings, the current intensity in them is kept as low as possible, i.e. H. these windings are designed with a high number of turns.
However, this means a dangerous moment for the machines and the DC circuit connected to them at the moment of stopping, because because of the high relative speed between the rotating field and the DC winding, extremely high voltages are generated when the motor is at a standstill, which can be fatal if the slip rings belonging to the DC winding are touched .
In order to prevent these disadvantages, it has already been proposed to short-circuit the DC tromwi extension or to place temporarily switchable resistors or permanent resistors between their ends for starting; However, this measure either required a second switching process for synchronization or, if permanent resistors were used, it caused an additional loss of direct current energy.
According to the invention, all of these disadvantages are to be avoided by designing and switching the usual excitation current regulator necessary for direct current excitation in such a way that it short-circuits the direct current excitation winding in its rest position or closes it via such low resistances that the occurrence of high starting voltages in the direct current winding is prevented.
The figure shows an embodiment of the invention. 1 is the direct current exciter winding of a three-phase motor, 2 the exciter current regulator, one end of which is connected to the direct current feed to the exciter winding 7. In contrast to the usual circuit, where the second end 3 of the variable resistor is free, it is connected to the other end of the DC excitation winding 1 according to the invention.
Is the regulator arm 7 at the end 3 of the variable resistor, d. H. in its rest position, the excitation winding 1 is short-circuited. By moving the regulator arm out of position. 3 in one of the operating positions 4, the excitation current from the direct current source 5 is gradually switched on in the manner of the known Meyer circuit.
However, a short-circuited excitation winding can have an unfavorable influence on the development of the starting torque. In order to attenuate this harmful effect of the starting currents generated in the DC exciter winding, the rest position of the controller 2 can be selected so that the DC winding 1 is closed over a large resistance, so that on the one hand high starting currents are avoided and on the other hand an adverse effect on the starting torque is excluded . In the figure, 6 indicates such a rest position of the excitation current regulator.
