Abstract

A centrifugal air separator with a housing (1) has at its perimeter either a common inlet (2) for the feedstock and the process gas or a separate inlet for each, at its lower end an outlet (8) for the coarse material and at its face a central outlet (6) for the fine material and in which is mounted a separator rotor driven by a rotary drive (7). The coarse-material outlet (8) is equipped with an adjustable extraction mechanism (9, 10).
