Abstract
The method involves illuminating the workpiece with pulsed or continuous ultraviolet light, which the adhesive absorbs significantly less than the wood, and converting the light received at markedly different intensities from workpiece regions with and without adhesive coatings using cameras with a sufficiently high spectral sensitivity in the ultraviolet region for evaluation by an image processing system and conversion into electrical signals. The method involves illuminating the workpiece (1) with an adhesive coating (2) with pulsed or continuous ultraviolet light, which the adhesive absorbs significantly less than the wood, and converting the light received at markedly different intensities from the regions of the workpiece with and without adhesive coatings using one or more row or matrix cameras (6) with a sufficiently high spectral sensitivity in the ultraviolet region for evaluation by an image processing system (9) and conversion into electrical signals.
