Abstract

The boot, for use with skis or a snowboard, has a recess in the sole to accommodate the binding (7) at the ski/snowboard. The recess contains two opposing bonding units to engage the binding. The leading bonding unit (5) has at least two grips (8,8'), flanking the symmetrical axis (Sv), to give a positive or force fit lock to the binding within the recess. The grips are of different lengths or they have adjustable lengths and/or have different shapes to give an adjustable release resistance and/or behavior in different side directions (L,R) of a boot movement.
