Abstract

A drop-arm awning or a blind is provided with a rotatably mounted, driveable cloth shaft, on which an awning cloth fastened thereto at the ends is wound. The drop arms (12) of the awning are mounted in two pivoting bearings (11) and carry at their free end a drop-out rod, to which the front edge of the awning cloth is fastened. Each drop-out arm is provided with a coil spring (22) for prestressing the drop-out arms in the swung-out direction.
