Abstract

2.1 In apparatuses for the automatic positioning of satellite antennas, two controlled switches are used to switch the motor on and off and to drive it in the correct direction. In the event of frequent use or manufacturing faults these switches may fail which can lead to defects in the motor if a stop position is reached and the motor can no longer rotate despite the current flowing. The object therefore exists of protecting the motor. 2.2 This object is achieved according to the invention in that, after a switch-off command, a current monitoring circuit is used to test whether the motor is actually switched off.
