Abstract
The control unit includes a sensor (7) which provides a signal indicative of the current flowing in the preheating plugs (2), and differentiating circuits (9) which generate signals indicative of the time differential of the current intensity. The current in the preheating plugs (2) is switched off when the time differential of the intensity of the current passing through them falls below a predetermined threshold value.
