Abstract

There is proposed a one-piece seamless shoe lining upper comprising a laminate composed of a textile fabric knitted from fully drawn yarns and a layer which is impermeable to liquid water but permeable to water vapour. The upper is obtained by thermoforming the laminate on the last. It is characterised by a uniformly low degree of permanent extension despite the high degree of deformation. The courses of knitted stitches extend diagonally relative to the heel-toe direction.
