Abstract

A railway vehicle for controlling undesirable plant growth along railway lines in the region laterally adjoining the track region and ballast flanks, in particular the berm, having at least one radiator unit for generating electromagnetic radiation, in particular infrared radiation, which is mounted displaceably on the rail vehicle transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction of said vehicle. The radiator units are mounted in articulated fashion on an extension arm arranged on the upper side of the railway vehicle.
