Abstract

A ventilation box for a masonry wall has mutually separated ducts for incoming air and outgoing air, each of which can be closed by means of a nonreturn flap, namely an incoming air flap and an outgoing air flap. Incoming air flap and outgoing air flap are pivotably mounted separately and independently of one another, but connected to the outgoing air flap is a locking member which, in the closed position of the outgoing air flap, projects into the pivot path of the incoming air flap and locks the latter in the closed position and, on opening of the outgoing air flap, releases the incoming air flap for the opening movement. The locking element can at the same time be designed as a compensating weight for the outgoing air flap. <IMAGE>
