Abstract

Apparatus for producing building blocks which contain insulating inserts, having a load-bearing framework (1) in which a vertically adjustable block mould (2) is arranged, having a conveying device (11) for providing the block mould (2) with insulating inserts (10), having a transporting device, in particular a transporting carriage (4), for charging the mould (2) with a material, having a pressing device and, if appropriate, having a vibratory device for compacting the material contained in the block mould (2). The conveying device (11) for the insulating inserts (10) has a load-bearing plate (11a) which is provided with retaining elements (13) and which can move, along guide rails , out of a first position, in which insulating inserts (10) can be moved onto said plate, into a second position, in which the insulating inserts (10) can be discharged to the mould (2). Furthermore, the load-bearing plate (11a) in its first position can pivot about one of the two guide rails (14), which has a circular-cylindrical outer surface, out of the horizontal position into a position which is inclined with respect to the horizontal or into a vertical position. In this arrangement, the conveying device (11) is designed, on that guide rail (14) which constitutes the pivot axis, with rollers (15a) or the like, by means of which said conveying device can travel along this guide rail (14) and can pivot about the same. <IMAGE>
