Method for the electrolytic tinning of objects of Cr-, Cr-Mo- or Cr-Ni-Mo-alloyed stainless steel by cleaning and degreasing, by corroding with a weak acid or an acid mixture, by electrolytic tinning, by brief melting-on and cooling of the tinning, characterized in that the sections of pipes provided with a thread are subjected, after corroding, firstly to a currentless nickel-plating up to a layer thickness of approximately 1 mu m and, after tinning, are stored firstly at a temperature of between approximately 150 and 200 degrees C for 120 to 130 min and are heated up from this temperature for seconds up to the melting-on of the tin covering and are quenched from this temperature.
