Abstract

1. Car or container, particularly a railway goods wagon, with a roof and side walls in each case containing at least two movable wall parts (1) which are disposed in the closed position in a common plane, and are supported so as to be pivotable by means of an operating device, e.g. rotatably mounted guides, in a displacement plane lying in front of the common plane and so as to be displaceable in this displacement plane in the longitudinal direction of the car or container, the wall parts (1) being connected to roof sections (2) forming the car or container roof as a unit and extending in each case along a wall part (1), the roof sections (2) in the wall parts (1) located in the displacement plane having a position allowing longitudinal displacement, characterized in that the roof sections (2) of each pair of wall parts lying opposite in the transverse direction in the car or container are provided at a central roof board (2a) separated from the wall parts (1), the roof board (2a) being coupled at its longitudinal sides facing the lateral wall parts (1) in each case to the corresponding wall part (1) by means in each case of at least one connecting element (3) allowing a lifting movement for the roof board (2a) and pivoting movements for the wall parts (1).
