Door handle in the form of a lever handle (2) consisting of a shank (3) and a part (15) to be taken in hand which is appreciably perpendicular to said shank, a removable small plate (31) carrying a predetermined inscription being maintained inside a cavity (30) made in the periphery of the part (15) to be taken in hand, characterized in that said part (15) to be taken in hand comprises a removable core (14) and a sheath (26) disposed around the removable core (14) ; that the cavity (30), where the removable small plate (31) is inserted, is made in the removable core (14) ; that the removable small plate (31) is covered with a transparent element (32) inserted between the removable core (14) and the sheath (26) and that the removable core (14) is integral with the shank (3) by means of a operating square (11) fitting out the lever handle (2).
