Abstract

A combustion apparatus using solid and/or liquid fuels and including an outer body or shell (1) with a lower portion housing a furnace consisting of a grate assembly (2) having at least two grates (2a, 2b) placed one above the other and provided with flat bars (2c) inclined about their longitudinal axis. The combustion apparatus may be configured as a heat generator and/or incinerator for burning solid materials (wood, coal, coke, sawdust, miscellaneous refuse such as used tyres, industrial or household waste, medical waste, etc.) and/or liquids (various oils, etc.).
