Abstract

The garment hanger has a bow member (10) made of round wire or rolled wire, the ends of which are bent to form supporting hooks (14) which are directed inwards and have substantially horizontally extending portions (16), the hook ends (18) being directed upwards and slightly outwards, and also a cross-member (20) the ends of which can be hung onto the hook ends (18), and a suspension hook (12) which projects upwards from the bow member (10). The round wire or rolled wire is dimensioned such that the bow member (10) alone has a sufficient load-carrying capacity. The supporting hooks (14) have an angular shape, the hook ends (18) projecting virtually at right angles from the substantially horizontally extending portions (16). Eyes (22) are formed at the ends of the cross-member (20), by means of which the cross-member (20) can be hung onto the supporting hooks (14). The length of the cross-member (20) is somewhat smaller than the spacing of the supporting hooks (14), so that the bow member (10) is tensioned by the hung-on cross-member (20). <IMAGE>
