Abstract

1. A screw-type socket of the kind comprising, in an insulating body (10), a screwthreaded ring (17) for screw engagement of the base of a lamp and having a cut-out portion (25) by means of which a restraining member (26) projects inwardly of the screwthreaded ring (17) and is thus capable of bearing against such a lamp base, said restraining member (26) comprising a resiliently deformable blade extending both axially and circumferentially with respect to the screwthreaded ring with which it is associated, and the screwthreaded ring (17) radially comprising a collar (18) by means of which it bears against a shoulder (14) of the insulating body (10), characterized in that the blade forming the restraining member (26) is fixed with respect to a support plate (30) which is inserted between said collar (18) of the screwthreaded ring (17) and said shoulder (14) of the insulating body (10).
