In order to provide a plastic container system and a pallet system which is connected thereto, in which a plurality of containers can be placed together to form a unit, possibly in conjunction with a specially constructed pallet, a container system having containers (11) and at least one pallet (100) is proposed, having a strap device (124) to connect the stacked containers (11) to the pallet (100), the strap device (124) comprising a multiplicity of straps which are each dimensioned such that they fit into the grooves (112) situated below each bottom rail (102) and extend upwards beyond the end of the containers (11) directly over the bottom rail (102) at one end of the stack, through each of the grooves (40) in the containers (11) at the tip of the stack directly above the bottom rail (102) through which the strap runs, and downwards beyond the other end of the container directly above the bottom rail (102) and up to the other end of the stack, and having means for connecting the two ends of the strap. <IMAGE>
